Had a guest speaker at our school today, Tamati Paul and honestly his story is one of the most saddest stories ever. He was the world champion in kayaking, waka ama and surf life saving until he got into a car crash. The man behind the wheel that hit him was 3 times over the alcohol limit and was driving at a speed of 165. He turned his car so that the opposite car would hit his side, saving his baby and partner. His dreams were shattered, he stutters when he talks, he can't even raise his right arm and gets frustrated because he can't do so, and he can't run properly nor jump. He is an example of a true hero. ♥
